this is the belt for the apnea monitor. Two things I've said about her that most people don't get to: "Honey would you turn her off?" and "Unplug her?"

The monitor
Summer is on an apnea monitor. Her doctor prescribed it because the day after she was born I was holding her and she choked, and turned blue in my arms. That was one of the scariest experiences of my life, and it wasn't like her face just all the sudden turn blue it was like a curtain rising from her chin to her forehead I shudder just thinking about it.
Anyway, the monitor is very small , I;ve got pictures I will post, and if it detects that her heartbeat or breathing is off a painfully loud alarm will go off, we;ve got it above our heads now because if you can believe it i slept through an alarm one night, now i don't. The good thing about the alarm is that I can sleep at night, if we didn;t have it I wouldn't sleep at all. The bad thing is that an alarm sounds if the wires get loose too, and when she moves around the wires get loose. So now, even though she is a little sweetie and sleeps through the nightl, we're woken up by the alarm every single night almost

becoming my mother
As I was sitting on the couch trying to pick the boogers out of Summers nose I realized that I am turning into my mother who, to this day insists on trying to pop my zits when i have them, I plan on controlling myself when shes able to pick her own nose though. But even with my husband, who has these single long hairs on his back, I get this urge just to pluck them out for him, poor Brian.

when she gets exited she kicks her feet and wiggles. I am happy indeed when i find myself wiggle-worthy

Little Summer
Summer was born July 1, 2004 at 4:20 am. She weighed 11 lbs 14 oz, and was 21 inches long. She now weighs 14 lbs 12 oz and is 24.5 inches
She has reflux, which is very scary because she doesn't projectile vomit like a lot of reflux babies do, she chokes, but shes taking prevacid and is doing very good now.
Im going to be posting a lot of pictures of her soon. The one above is from my sisters blog.
